2- Description of the scholarship

FB Research would like to support students working on new statistical modeling and inference techniques.

Research areas include, but are not limited to, high-dimensional inference, causal inference, graphical models, optimization, regression and classification, clustering and segmentation, graph partitioning , entity linking, and data privacy.

In addition, we are interested in research related to model auditing and security, including label validity and certainty, model performance auditing across segments, and detection and mitigation of unintended outcomes.

Applications of interest include, but are not limited to, user modeling, abuse and violation detection, experimentation, surveys, damage measurement using models and sampling techniques efficient.

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must meet the following requirements:

Applicants must be full-time doctoral students enrolled at an accredited university (in any country) at the start of the fellowship (i.e. fall 2022).
Students must be involved in ongoing research related to one or more relevant disciplines (see available scholarships below).
They must remain enrolled full-time for the duration of the scholarship to receive program benefits.
Students should not apply for Meta scholarships if they are actively funded by Meta through another, sponsorship or collaboration and/or if they are actively supervised (or co-supervised) by a Meta researcher.
