Each year, ARES grants an average of 130 scholarships within the framework of bachelor’s degrees within the framework of continuing education to nationals of its partner countries.

Presentation of the scholarship

The Specialized Master in Integrated Health Risk Management aims to train leaders and agents of change at different levels, international, national and local, to enable the emergence of a systemic approach to current health issues.

Because of their complexity, these issues call for changes in structures and modes of action in health, through intersectoral, interprofessional and interdisciplinary efforts.

More specifically, each participant will acquire skills in the analysis of complex problems and intervention strategies, with a view to facilitating the multi-stakeholder processes required for their development and implementation.

The training therefore leads participants to become agents of change and creators of collaborations, by adopting a posture of reflective, collaborative and committed practitioner.

capacity for change will depend on learning outcomes but also on the inclusion of learners in an international network made up of partners and alumni.

The training is aimed at health professionals wishing to be part of health risk management at the human-animal-environment interface and ideally benefiting from significant professional experience.

The purpose of this training is to support these people in their process of change in their professional framework in favor of greater integration, interdisciplinarity in the management of health issues.

Therefore, the admission criteria are:

  • second cycle diploma;
  • proven professional experience in the management of health risks;
  • present a professional project to promote the diploma;
  • additional training is an advantage in the selection.

The introduction of a scholarship application must be made according to the introduction procedures and meet the admissibility criteria described below.

The selection of scholarship holders is carried out by a selection panel for each course after analysis of their administrative admissibility by ARES.

All files received between the first and the last day of the call will be treated equally.

ARES encourages female candidates, for equal quality, the female candidate will be preferred.

For the application to be admissible, the candidate must:

  3. Evidence of relevant professional occupation
  4. Complete the file in the language in which the training is given and can attest to a good written and spoken knowledge of it.

The selection phase is carried out by a deliberative jury organized for each course.

ARES grants the selection jury the right to assess the compliance of the files with the common selection criteria described below, taken individually or in combination with each other.

Candidates do not have to obtain admission to one of the French-speaking higher education establishments in Belgium beforehand to be able to apply for ARES scholarships.

Applications submitted after this date will not be considered.

All successful and reserve applicants will receive an email upon completion of the selections (June 2022).
